How it works

Choose a PDF, let the browser extract the text, review the generated Markdown, and download the result as a `.md` file.

What is supported

The current version works best with text-based PDFs and tries to preserve headings, paragraphs, links, lists, inline emphasis, and simple tables.

Privacy first

There is no backend conversion service. Your document stays in the browser.

FAQ

Common questions about PDF to Markdown conversion

Does this PDF to Markdown converter upload my files?

No. Conversion happens in your browser, so the PDF content is not sent to a server for processing.

Which PDFs are supported?

The tool is designed for text-based PDFs. Scanned PDFs and image-only files need OCR, which is not included in this version.

Are there file limits?

Yes. The current limits are 20 MB per file and 200 pages per document to keep browser-side conversion reliable.
